1. Opening Hours and Appointments:
Please respect our opening hours and appointment times so that we can welcome each cat under the best conditions and provide quality care during their stay. Our opening hours are as follows: From Monday to Sunday from 8:00 to 10:30 and from 16:30 to 18:30.
2. Identification:
Cats must be identified either by a microchip or a tattoo, and you must be in possession of the I-CAD identification card. This document will be kept at the cattery during the cat's stay.
3. Vaccinations:
Vaccines must be up to date, meaning less than 12 months but more than 14 days. Kittens are accepted from 16 weeks of age, provided they have completed the primary vaccination cycle at least two weeks before, which is 2 injections one month apart. Cats that have not been vaccinated for more than a year will need to restart the primary vaccination cycle and can only be admitted two weeks after the second injection. The vaccination booklet or passport will be handed over to the cattery on the cat's arrival and kept for the duration of the stay. Required vaccinations: Typhus and Coryza.
4. Food:
To avoid any changes and digestive problems, your cat's usual food should be provided by you in sufficient quantity for the duration of the stay. If your cat eats homemade food, you can prepare and freeze it in daily portions. We will store the frozen portions and thaw them as needed.
5. Litter:
The litter box and compostable wood pellet litter are provided by us. If you choose to bring your own litter, make sure it is in sufficient quantity for the duration of the stay, but there will be no discount if you bring your own.
6. Cat Health:
All cats must have received internal parasite treatment (worms) dating less than three months and an external parasite treatment (fleas and ticks) covering the stay period. If your cat is infested with parasites that may harm the hygiene of the cattery, it will be treated accordingly, at the owner's expense. Your cat must be in good health to your knowledge. We must be informed of any recent and on going health problems and medical prescriptions at the time of booking or at the latest upon arrival at the cattery. You must provide us with a prescription from your veterinarian as well as sufficient quantity of the treatment with clear written instructions on the dosage and frequency, so that we can administer the medical treatment to your cat during it’s stay. In case of illness, accident or injury occurring during your cat's stay, you give Hôtel Félin du Bocage the right to call on our registered veterinarian located in Percy or your own veterinarian if they are within a 20km radius of the pension. All costs incurred by Hôtel Félin du Bocage will be reimbursed by the cat owner upon presentation of the veterinary invoices. We reserve the right to refuse entry to a cat that appears sick or contagious. We do not accept male cats over seven months old if they are not neutered.
7. Cat Safety:
All cats must be transported in a secure carrier, which will be kept at the cattery to serve as a familiar hiding place for your cat, but also to be used in the event of a vet visit.
8. Rates:
The daily price includes accommodation, bowls, bedding, a cat tree/scratcher, daily care, litter box, compostable litter, heating, medical care if necessary, and maintenance of the premises. Fees are calculated for each day started, regardless of the time of arrival and departure. The rate for one cat is €12.50 per day and €6 extra per cat from the same family sharing the same room. Each room can accommodate up to 3 cats. Any reserved and started stay is due. If you pick up your cat before the departure date indicated on the reservation contract, the total amount of the stay is due, no discount is provided. Payment must be made at the end of the stay upon collection of your cat in cash, by bank transfer, or by cheque payable to DAMIEN JOLY. Please note, veterinary costs incurred are the responsibility of the owner.
9. Reservation and Deposit:
To guarantee a reservation, a duly completed and signed reservation form and a non-refundable deposit of €30 must be received within 7 days of accepting the request. We will then send you an acknowledgment of receipt and at a later date a contract to complete and bring with you on the day of your arrival.
10. Abandonment:
If the cat cannot be picked upon the date specified in the contract, the client agrees to inform the cattery as soon as possible. Otherwise, 15 days after the contract's expiration date, we may entrust the animal to a shelter or an animal protection association, and all costs incurred will be borne by the owner.
11. Animal Death:
In the event of an animal's death during the stay, Hôtel Félin du Bocage cannot be held responsible. At the client's express request, an autopsy can be performed, at their expense, to determine the cause of death.
12. Photos and Videos:
Hôtel Félin du Bocage may take photographs and videos of your cat during its stay, which may be used to give you updates, but also for advertising purposes on our website or social media. Please inform us if you disagree.
